A car bumper is a safety device that absorbs and slows down the external impact force and protects the front and rear parts of the body. In the past, the front and rear bumpers of the car were stamped into channel steel from steel plates, and riveted or welded together with the longitudinal beams of the frame. Nowadays, the front and rear bumpers of cars are made of plastic. Generally, the plastic bumpers of automobiles are composed of three parts: outer panels, buffer materials and beams. The main functions of the bumper are:

5. The bumper system plays a very important role in the aerodynamics and styling of the vehicle.
